Diners with an eye for lighter fare will appreciate the fresh garden salad and chef’s salad options, while soup enthusiasts can explore daily specials that, according to patrons, are served hot and creamy, such as clam chowder, cream of broccoli, and vegetable soup. The attention to detail in every bowl highlights the kitchen’s commitment to traditional flavors and quality ingredients.
Sunrise Restaurant doesn’t forget to satisfy the sweet tooth: the velvet silk chocolate pie and pecan pie are tempting finishes that add a decadent close to any meal. One regular expressed delight in the broad selection of desserts, although often so full by the end they save tasting them for next time—a testament to the generous portions and satisfying courses.
The atmosphere is unfailingly welcoming, with a friendly staff that greets guests warmly and maintains a clean, comfortable dining space—one reviewer even remarked on the spotless restrooms, a small detail that reflects overall care and professionalism. Sunrise’s unpretentious ambiance invites families and individuals alike to enjoy a relaxed, home-away-from-home experience crafted by both food and service.
Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or a leisurely lunch with family, Sunrise Restaurant provides hearty American classics made with care. It’s a place where the simple pleasure of a freshly cooked meal, served with genuine hospitality, brings people back time and again.
I like the atmosphere here. Staff are friendly and pleasant. I've eaten here a few times and the food has been very good. My husband was thrilled with how clean the bathroom was. We visited this week, and he had the daily soup and club sandwich. I had a salad with grilled calabash shrimp. The broad selection of desserts looks delicious, but I have been too full each time to try something.
This was I first time at this restaurant. We were greeted immediately after entering and were greeted by several staff members on our way to being seated. I ordered the gyro omelet with hashbrowns, with scrapple. My wife ordered a veggie omelet, fried potatoes, and pancakes. Everything was hot and freash. Eveything I had was very good. Everything was cooked perfect. My wife said all her food was very good. The pancakes were good and smelled great, but they are very fluffy (cake like). I also tried the coffee, I did not like the coffee. It was too weak in my opinion. Our waitress Andrea was great, professional, personable, friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The men's bathroom was very clean, and stocked. We will return to try other things on the menu.
I ordered tuna fish salad on rye bread with lettuce and tomato, I enjoyed the sandwich. I also ordered the potato soup. I can remember my mother making potato soup when I was a child, and I really enjoyed it. I felt that the potato soup at Sunrise lacked flavor. I did appreciate that the soup was served hot and creamy. The service was very good and the staff was very nice. Update for July 2nd, went back today for late lunch. Had a BLT on a toasted rye bread with mayo. I enjoyed the sandwich. And once again the service was very good.
